Hurricane.

Well yes. Oberhausen. 12.000 crazy Germans, as Jared later put it so graciously, and me standing in row ten.
It was epic. Of course it was.
Gosh, where to start. BTW, Carpark North were a wonderful support band, check them out!
They came on stage with Night of the Hunter, and for all the duration of the song I was –besides being pushed around by frantic fans- all like WTF he’s got blue hair! Actual bluuuueeee hair.
Did I say they were amazing?
I still suck at recalling details, but the music was magnificent, and they played all my favourites: Attack, From Yesterday, This is War, The Kill, Call to Arms, and good lord I don’t know what else.
And we, that is to say the crowd- or the guys all around me- sang several songs partly alone, out singing Jared, who seemed to enjoy himself greatly. He’s a master of party, I might say, and he was so nice! Kept telling us to come nearer, with caused numerous crushing of ribs, probably. Made the lights be turned at least twice so he could see us all. Kept asking if we had fun yet.
Holy Fuck, I had fun ever since the second I saw his blue hair. That guy’s got an amazing taste. ^^ He made us cheer, competing with the left and the right wing of seated persons… yes, there were loads of seated guys, and I’m pretty sure we guys in front of the stage had the greater deal of fun, although they might not believe it. Whatever.
Needless to say that we sang all the ‘oooh-oh’s’ ourselves, is it? And even though Jared’s voice is perfectly beautiful, I guess Beautiful lie was the song he sang the most of, just because we knew the words damn well.
He told us to get crazy so often, and we did- everyone around me kept jumping. BTW, I was, during the concert, pushed and shoved, up to row five, as I might point out ;D
It’s amazing how the line ‘a million little pieces’ refuses to get out of my head, it revolves in my mind even now.
On we go. We cheered, and jumped, and shouted ‘This is War’, we sang along, and when they started off with 1oo Suns (my god I love this song), it was enchanting. And then suddenly there were these huge balloons in the air, and they kept falling down on us, and we’d push them up again, astonished and happy like little children! I loved those balloons so much! :D
It was magical, too. And I really, really like how Jared says ‘Dankeschön’ ans ‘Scheiße’!
Some balloons landed on stage again and he was like ‘Hey you try to hit me with the balloons!!!’
Next was Closer to the Edge. Amazing song. Before that, Jared tried to pass his cold to somebody else, but surprisingly, no one wanted it xD When he asked who of us had heard the song and seen the video ofe Closer, and later, Hurricane, all hell broke loose. And I had the feeling he was surprised. Funny, that. ^^
We went crazy- I love that song, I do- so crazy I had no air to sing along at times. The song has an enormous intensity.
For From Yesterday, and a few following songs, Jared came on stage alone, armed with an acoustic guitar- I don’t really have to tell you how damn amazing the song were in acoustic, have I? Fucking amazing. The kind of makes-me-shiver amazing. The loudest we sang the parts ‘on his face is a map of the world’ and ‘from yesterday’, basically, and I remember thinking how I adored that song.
And then, Jared asked what we wanted to hear, and everyone began shouting their favourite song, mostly Alibi, and The Kill. Jared tried to understand just anyone, and then he asked a guy and went like, ‘That guy wants me to play a song by Depeche Mode.’
I laughed SO hard. ‘I was more thinking about a song from 30 Seconds to Mars’ he went on, both puzzled and amused. He’s so cute, really. He went for Alibi, wonderful song, and then this happened: ‘Hold on, hold on. If I sing the wrong lyrics you’re not supposed to sing them too. What the fuck is that? You’re supposed to correct me. Jesus Christ.
What’s the first line? Anybody know? Here you go. That’s what family is for. To help us out, when we get old and can’t walk anymore like me.’
He IS SO adorable!!! :D
Next one: Bad Romance. I love how he sings that song. No explanations necessary.
And theeeen: The Kill. Acoustic. You don’t even believe how loud we sang. Shivers, one after the other. Incredible. And then, just like at Rock am Ring, he jumped into the crowd, as evident in my photos. And then sat on top of the audience and made us sing in his mic, and his blue hair and incredible eyes were so near!
Well, I don’t want to sound like a frantic fan girl, but it’s just amazing to have a singer so close to the audience, and so much interaction. Oh yes, and his shirt went on holidays. You can’t deny he’s a gorgeous sight. ;D
Right, The Fantasy, and then they went, to return for the first encore, Hurricane, which I had missed up to then. And poor cold Jared said he probably shouldn’t do this, but he would sing it now anyway, and we could help him with the lines ‘do you really want’ and so on. He asked us if we had seen the short film, and my god who hasn’t?
Jared’s comment? ‘You perverts!’
Haha! :D
‘If you haven’t seen the short film yet, please go home tonight, take all your clothes off and watch it. We were naked while we made it, you guys may be naked while you watch it.’
Well that song it beyond words, and we divided it between audience and Jared. I could hear his cold now in his voice, it was rougher, and the more I love him for singing with us. <3> Normal 0 21 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4
